Meal Plan, April 5th through 18th

Our busy season has started here at camp and whenever we have over 25 guests, staff and families are allowed to eat in the dining hall.  We signed up for 7 dinners in the next two weeks so I only had to come up with 7!  I decided to keep it easy and CHEAP this time around.

As of right now, my grocery total is only $170 (I’m doing curbside pick up and I won’t be going to the Farmer’s Market this week).

It helps SO MUCH that we have a lot of meat in our freezer and we have lots of food at home already.  All I’m buying are some things that are staples and a few things that we are out of.  And snacks.  The boys are home all the time so I try to keep things like apple sauce, string cheese, fruit, etc in our fridge (they have a drawer for snacks).  I will make some homemade Lara Bars (which they love).

Anyway.

Breakfasts

  • Breakfast tacos
  • Egg sandwich and fruit
  • Fried eggs, bacon, and toast with homemade bread
  • Homemade Greek yogurt and homemade granola

Lunches

  • Finger foods
  • Sandwich and fruits and veggies
  • Annie’s mac n cheese and veggie tray
  • Leftovers

Dinners

Week 1

  • Friday the 5th- Homemade pizza
  • Saturday the 6th- Dining hall (Tenders)
  • Sunday the 7th- Red beans and rice with sausage
  • Monday the 8th- Pork roast
  • Tuesday the 9th- Tacos
  • Wednesday the 10th- Burrito bowls
  • Thursday the 11th- Grilled chicken, baked potatoes, and corn on the cob

Week 2

  • Friday the 12th- Dining hall (Chicken fried steak)
  • Saturday the 13th- Dining hall (Steak)
  • Sunday the 14th- Dining hall (Cowboy Cornbread)
  • Monday the 15th- Dining hall (Tenders)
  • Tuesday the 16th- Dining hall (Marinera Pasta)
  • Wednesday the 17th- Dining hall (Fajitas)
  • Thursday the 18th- Brinner

Snacks

  • Homemade Lara bars
  • Apple sauce
  • String cheese
  • Fruit
  • Veggie tray
  • Boiled eggs
  • Homemade Greek yogurt
  • Fruit leather

Prep

  • Make homemade bread
  • Veggie tray
  • Boil eggs
  • Homemade Greek yogurt
  • Homemade Lara bars
